I think this comes from being a people pleaser and trying to do things "right". I was always like that in school, I always wanted to do things the "right" way and it just leaked into everything I do. Its why I have such a hard time righting, I worry about doing it right. That's what I'm learning to let go of now, actually.

I love that you did this! I have seriously been thinking about making a stricter schedule. My family already makes fun of me because I am so serious about sticking to a routine. But when I have made an even stricter schedule I get really stressed out. I am an "absolute" kinda girl. I HAVE to finish things and do things by my schedule, if I don't, I get stressed out and feel like a failure. Which is why I keep my schedule vague and loose. I want to do a more set schedule like this, but I am scared it will stress me out and I will be setting myself up for failure. Thanks for reminding me that it's okay to revise!!

I did it before, and it was nice knowing what we were having what days. I've never sat down and written it out into a table though. And lol, I wish I was. . . But the house is still a wreck. Hopefully I'll be able to go shopping soon and start organizing the house the way it should be organized.

Love your menu! I have been planning dinners since I was a kid (my mom had us plan a meal and prepare it once a week...for all 7 kids!) But I have never actually planned specific days. I also have never planned breakfasts and lunches, which I have realized lately I should because we have the same breakfasts and lunches a lot. I might try to do this next week. I also love the idea of baking a bunch of stuff on Sunday. I am trying to bake my own bread more often, too. I actually planned to make Pumpkin Bread this week, too! You will have to share your vegetarian meals because I am trying to cook more vegetarian, too. Thanks for sharing! You are becoming so organized! I feel like I do what you are doing...without the organization. Maybe that's what I am missing!

I have a book from the 1940s which is a housekeeping manual which addresses all that. . . It's got a great skeleton of a schedule that runs along those lines. . . I'll take a pic of it and post it either on my next blog post or FB. . . It's very helpful, even nowadays.

Actually I was reading something this morning on a Catholic forum that was talking about what these various folks saw when they read that piece of scripture, and an overwhelming amount pointed out that it had nothing to do with being submissive, etc. they took it to mean that this woman did what she needed to do for her family, and never complained about it etc. . . And I think that's what I want to work on. . . Again, I want to focus primarily on my family, and I think that's all that piece of scripture asks us women to do. . . Because we're natural multi-taskers, and men just can't do this the way we can.

I LOVE your schedule and I so need to do that. I want to make certain cleaning routines for certain days like laundry (I HATE laundry) Maybe if I do it once a week it wont be so bad, I always tend to wait and have like 5 loads to do at once. There's the old saying, "Wash on Monday
Iron on Tuesday Mend on Wednesday Market on Thursday Clean on Friday Bake on Saturday
Rest on Sunday."--- thinking of doing something like that cept more modern as I dont mend (often) and you can forget about ironing. Just sit aside certain days for laundry, canning, freezing meals, cleaning certain rooms, orgnizing things, menu planning, grocery shopping... the list goes on and on. But Thanks for your schedule, really gets me in gear and makes me want to start biulding my own! I'll start it tomorrow during my morning quiet time. :D

Wow, while I love my job as a SAHM and am able to do quite a lot for my family, I dont even compare to the Proverbs 31 wife. I love taking care of my children as they need me, As a wife I enjoy and will take care of my husband as long as he respects & appreciates me and takes care of our family as well. However, one wrong word and I have no problem throwing his clothes onto the front lawn and telling him to wash them himself. :D I suppose that's the feminist in me.
